Feeding Rich Americans Wealth: Blog Post #2

Is America feeding those already wealthy instead of pouring into investments that can help people of poverty? Coming from Holly Sklar Growing Gulf Between Rich and Rest Of Us it's sited that 76 more Americans have made the millionaires list however this means typical household suffer. The more revenue handed to Americans the more wage gaps increase and expectations. On top of already being assigned to struggle people of poverty in society are losing money as the rich gains. Wealthier Americans in society have no worry whatsoever because they have the privilege to dig them out holes poor people have faced for centuries.  America sets the standard in society that being wealthy/rich is the only way you are successful in eyes of higher authority or social class. Unfortunate Americans are missing out on basic needs such as health care, housing, childcare, food, and more to come where that came from. Basic needs of all Americans should be met, however so much money is being sectioned out that worth of essential needs will keep increasing furthering access to specific groups. The idea of the "American Dream" will never be reality stated in the text because societies are more worried about division and aspects of identities people have no control over. The concept of this text helps me understand that if hard work was a looked down factor most Americans would be given the fair share, they deserve to survive stable. This argument however is so hard to put into play because America has had decades of overall structure, they choose to run community. Why has economic struggle become so "normal"? So may never know. Moral merits and behaviors should be taken into consideration when class positioning. The only space that will be created for change will, have to be showing advocacy and forming alliances with those who face the same societal placement.

There's absolutely no surprise that women in society are targeted the most with this sympathetic topic. And in this case to make progress community has been formed and share experiences. Around the 1970's the second wave of feminism was put into play to concentrate on ensuring that women equality is gained as they've faced years of suffrage. However, it's understood to my understanding that women are essentially the rule of the world although they are targeted the most and put at most risk. Women as a whole aren't receiving the wages they deserve or even stability they need to raise OUR children. Women want to be paid for the work they put in referring to many topics down from childbirth to housework. In Rosalyn Baxandall's and Linda Gordon's text Good Sisters the center the idea that Women are the plugs to many outlets within society however the hard work they put in isn't as recognized as comparison to the struggle of unfortunate Americans as a whole. The work women put into life wasn't recognized enough. Although the text specifically targets faced suppression of Women the rule applies to less fortunate Americans who also show hard work to prove themselves the expectations. Women is the reason why Americans are where they are today thinking critically due to women being the reproductive source. This now leads me to the question: Does America value worth more than participation and skill? Does wealth replace involvement pushing back on community being whole to the "American Dream"?
