Make AMERICA AMERICA: Block Post #3
Personally, being a Black American woman and many other factors that take part in how much income plays apart in wealth, the government doesn't resonate with in your identity the less revenue you are accessed to. Those are two factors alone that can risk my well-being personally speaking and putting this worldwide issue in the words "Black" and "Women". The factors of identity such as race, class, disability, or etc creates this poverty in America's eyes. Marginalized Americans are given the history and structure to maintain wealth that's already been passed between their generations; however, these less fortunate communities have to start from more often the bottom with nothing to build up their placement in society. The country will keep creating debt that will collapse on these unmarginalized groups and WOMEN specifically leading to farther reach of success. How is the American Dream getting worked towards if division is created within specific racial groups or specific genders? The ability of a person has nothing to do with identity factors they were born into with no resources to rely on such as more privileged people who don't know what it means to ever get raided because bills aren't paid or to not have the finances to ensure their children proceed in the right educational path. Scenarios such as these indicate that no one can be placed in the less fortunate shoes because the struggle they face to be successful is through hard work they have no generation to rely on because they weren't given the opportunity down the lines. In my opinion no hard work should equal no rewards because it isn't fair to those who fight to gain their way to the top economically. If privileged people keep receiving money for absolutely no effort it puts WOMEN and other targeted groups(minorities) due to identity factors in risk because the more money poured into communities who don't need help takes away from the pay or economic rate of those who do need extra hours at work to provide and maybe can't see family how they would be pleased to because amount of hard work they put into living in society. America has the power to be great however the issue holding back is this idea of superiority placed into society that wants a specific group to be more successful than others. Adding on to this example, in my women studies college class we have discovered that no matter what force of work it may be women essentially make les income than the average male looking at statistics. No matter if they are working the same facility or not, compared paychecks don't add up. Americans as a whole need to separate stereotypes and create worldwide intuitions to give the same amount of assistance to people who aren't received compromised pay. If these expectations are left behind everyone in society can live based off of their financial ends and not compared to Americans who make sometimes 10 times the revenue as those who need more resources.
